The University welcomes donations from the following types of assets:<\/p>\n

Cash<\/h2>\n

A gift of cash is a simple way to provide an outright gift, make a bequest<\/a>, or establish a life income gift<\/a>, such as a charitable gift annuity. You can make an outright gift<\/a> online, by mail, or by phone.<\/p>\n

Securities<\/h2>\n

You can make an outright charitable gift by donating securities. These can be transferred electronically from a brokerage account to Rivier. Please notify us if you are transferring a gift of securities so we can ensure that your gift is received and properly designated. You or your financial advisor can contact our office for information on transferring your gift to the University.<\/p>\n

Life Insurance<\/h2>\n

Gifts of life insurance<\/a> can be made to the University. You may also purchase an insurance policy with 糖心vlog as the owner and sole beneficiary. The premium you pay may be tax-deductible.<\/p>\n

Retirement Plan Gifts<\/h2>\n

Giving from your retirement plan as part of your estate plan<\/strong><\/h3>\n

A retirement plan can be a tax-efficient and simple way of including the University in your estate plan. You can name Rivier as a primary or secondary beneficiary. Most retirement plans are subject to income taxes\u2014and possibly estate taxes\u2014if left to an individual beneficiary; however, a charity that is named as the beneficiary does not pay income or estate taxes on the distribution.<\/p>\n

Giving currently from your IRA<\/strong><\/h3>\n

If you are 70\u00bd years or older, you can utilize the IRA Charitable Rollover<\/a> to support the University and receive tax benefits in return.<\/p>\n

Real Estate<\/h2>\n

Real estate can be given outright, through an estate or to fund some life-income gifts such as the charitable remainder uni-trust. It is generally Rivier\u2019s policy to sell gift property rather than maintain and manage it, utilizing the income for your designated purpose.<\/p>\n

Personal Property<\/h2>\n

Rivier welcomes gifts of many kinds of personal property that may be used to support our mission. You can contact us to discuss if the University is able to accept your intended gift.<\/p>\n
